After earning a diploma in advertising and marketing, followed by a stint in television production, I became a copywriter. After a great run working with some fantastic advertising agencies on brands like Ministry of Transport, ANZ Bank, Air New Zealand and winning the copywriting 'craft' award in the NZ press advertising awards, I moved to Sydney Australia with  J Walter Thompson.

I believe in teamwork. And the partnership I had with an art director in NZ endured for around 10 years. Because good communication happens when people work together. We worked on Lux soap, Continental Stock, Nestle, Commonwealth Bank and contributed to Lintas Sydney being awarded Advertising Age magazine's International Ad Agency of the Year. We grew from strength to strength, won awards and importantly, won business.

From there in the late 90's I moved to a small local Sydney based agency, rolled up my sleeves and got stuck into on some working class brands like Valvoline, Pirtek, OPSM Protector and Volvo Penta, along with some more elegant brands like Riviera cruisers, HSV and Riviera dealers.

Then in the mid 2000's it was time to stretch my wings and set out on my own. Hoyts cinema advertising provided the everyday bread and butter, while Lexus and Toyota through Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney provided the icing on the cake. Some of the Lexus work I did was ultimately used in New Zealand, while two brochures were written for Lexus in China. Many working relationships forged back then continue today, allowing me to continue doing what I love. The rest is history. So now I look forward to helping you develop your brand and communicate your message.

LOOKING BACK.
